Here comes the sun little darlin’

After months of waiting through the wind and rain summer is finally here. The sun is shining, the flowers are sprinkled about the town, the birds are singing.  It’s beautiful. I have never been more thankful for good weather. Absence has definitely made this heart grow fonder of summer and sunshine.

Lately everything in my life has been a reminder of God’s faithfulness. The weather is no exception. According to the locals this winter was the worst and longest they have had in years. At times I feared I would never feel the warmth of the sun again. It seemed as though my fingers and toes would forever remain frozen. However, God is faithful and summer is here. Even if it only lasts a couple of weeks, which would be the normal English summer, I am thankful. Patience and steadfastness does come through. Summer does come. God is faithful, even in the little things.
