honestly.
You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone.
Lately my heart has been overwhelmed with how much I miss friends, family, and the familiar. One thing I have learned this year is that you truly don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. Whether that’s a loved one or a place when you realize what you have left your heart will hurt. This aching, almost heart breaking pain must not distract from your ability live fully. In order to feel alive you must learn to love the ground on which you stand. To cherish the past, live in the present, and press on towards the future. If you dwell on the things you have left behind the longing for the past will creep into your heart and suffocate your ability to stand strong in the present. At the moment my heart hurts but I will continue on because I know that God is faithful and has a plan. Although at this moment the past seems comfortable I know that the present has a purpose and the future is bright.
